Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
With the changes needed to the middleware in #985 for it to be able to connect to all the newly introduced databases, middleware has become very clutter-y. Hopefully we can clean it up a bit before we hand the project over next week.
