We could have custom styles for the four seasons, with winter being one of them.

You can use pictures based on inspirations from the campus, using snowy pictures.

Ideas for winter on the webpage is as mentioned before by @a24timsv using the snow effect: https://github.com/hyperstown/pure-snow.js. Other ideas are that we could have a garland in the navbar, santa, sleigh and reindeer entering and exiting the frame every x minutes. Cards could get a border with red or a garland perhaps. It could be a fun idea to include some christmas calender, where the user gets to "open" something every day until christmas.
