When creating our new design the logo does not have enough contrast. We need to change the icon so the contrast is better in our new design. #843 (comment)
What should be done.
Suggestion of how they could look to increase visibility
Requesting review from @b24jonel
A thought: maybe use colors that still work with our colors, the navbar will change so that the logo will have a lighter background rather than a dark one. The logo still needs to be modifed but maybe some colors can still be there? Will wait for the review.
Tried setting the background to the green themes background colors, could be a bit difficult to see because of the shade. This is another reworked version where it is pure black and pure white with the green themes background colors.
All versions still exist in the canva link.
I think it is still the best to keep it in black/white since there are multiple themes that use different shades.
Maybe we should wait until the new colors are implemented, PR: #1080
After looking at the new versions you uploaded i agree that we should keep them black and white however there still should be more contrast in the logo instead of only white, but the black version i think is very good.

I agree, we we should wait until the new colors are implemented and then see how the logo looks
This is the white one with a bit more of a gray shading against the new blue navbar
And this is an experiment where the old logo just got "lighter" (against the new blue navbar)

The new white logo looks much better, however the part in the picture i sent looks too bright and it's almost impossible to see that there is a pattern, i think either the pattern should be darker or the background should be darker so the pattern pops out more.
PR: #1080 is still not merged, so this should wait until it is.
Im not sure how to change the color of that part of the pattern, or if its even possible to do it cleaner for free. But this is with some cleanup, I suspect it wont be too visible since the logo is tiny.

it has now been merged
@b24idalu We the leaders like the logo. Before approving we would like if you added the images to the updated navbar. Just so we can se how the contrast is
This is an example using both the light and dark version. I feel like it is kind of lacking compared to the one we currently have however.

I agree with you, the issue was to get better contrast but kinda feels like it lost the "personality" of the loggo
The main problem with the logo is the text after the B. One possible solution would maybe be to add text shadow
. White shadow in dark mode and dark in darkmode
For testing purposes I tried using shadows/outlines but since the logo is small it will all look kind of weird/squished together..(ignore that the main logo is looking a bit off, it is difficult to get transparent backgrounds, main version will have the proper logo)
Also tried switching the colors since the purple-red transition was a big part in why it became hard to see.
Another color palette option, but this one is hard to see in lightmode. It avoids the purple shades that can look like gray which is what can cause difficulty. One option could be to use one palette in darkmode and another in lightmode.
