Found the old navbar was being rendered in the index file, which i feel is really weird practice. I don't know if there was an idea to this but that was causing the flickering of different different content when refreshing. The CSS which was removed entirely contained old properties for the old navbar.
There might be more things to do with the index file, but this solves the issue atleast.

Tested the branch and it works as intended. The issue is solved and I will merge this.
